Should i stop talking to this girl i like to see if she'll chase me?

i really like this girl and shes knows that. she very nice and friendly. we talk mostly on facebook chat. sometimes shes doesnt respond to my IMs. also im always the one to messege her first, she has never tried to contact me first on facebook or on the phone. i just deactviated my facebook account cus first it was distracting me from homework and second im curious to see if she'll notice that im gone. im gonna reactivate it in a few days but i wanna see if shes gonna try to do anything about it. do u guys think its a good idea, does this strategy work?
