About navy job?

i got the navy job in aviation mechanic, but my parent was concern that does the job can help me when i return to the civilian life, i'm in the DEP now and i want to know that what kind of jobs are better for me in the civilian life, my ASVAB score is 55, is there anyway i can change my job or retake the test, what kind of jobs that i qualify from my score?
