In-text citation for online source MLA format?

How do I write an in-text citation for an online essay in MLA format. For books it goes: (Author pg#). For an online essay I'm not sure if its just (Author) or (Author Online) or something else. I have the Authors and I know that i shouldn't include any web addresses so can anyone help?
