How do i pick another cat?

okay, so I have 4 dogs. 2 big, and 2 medium. II also have a Siamese cat. she's doing fine with all the other dogs because they're calm and laid back and everything. but the cat is just wild half the time! she'll sprint across the living room, lick herself, pounce of a piece from a milk jug, then run and climb and scratch on our funriture (we have a scratching post for her. she uses it too) my aunt says the one of her frainds told her that if we get another cat Sammy might chill out. should we get another cat, and if so how to we go about finding a cat that sammy won't dispise?
