Which book would you recommend for a high schooler?

Well, since you don't like to read, you could always go with a short book like The Awakening by Kate Chopin. It's considered a "novella." It's close to 100 pages long. The Old Man and the Sea is short, but terrible. Don't read it. The Great Gatsby is absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend it. Summer of My German Soldier is a really easy read, and an enjoyable story. I think I read it in 7th grade.
