Jesuit missionaries in New France were more successful than Puritan missionaries in New England in converting?

c. Catholicism has been very good at merging their faith with local peoples. In the case of the Jesuits, they went out of their way to make friends amongst the tribes. Their only "misstep" was doented in the Jesuit Diaries when Brebeuf and Isaac Jogues got caught between two warring tribes and ended up being martyred.
