How do I get the January Software Upgrade for my granddaughter's Ipod Touch (software 1.1.4)?

My granddaughter got her Ipod Touch on December 2007. She updated it to version 1.1.4. in 2008, but never put the January Software Upgrade on it {missed the chance}. Now, how can she get the Upgrade on her IPod Touch that enables her to have mail, stocks, maps, weather, and notes?
